HISTORIA DE HALLOWEEN

Halloween is a celebration of Anglo-Saxon culture is celebrated on October 31.
Its origins are in the Celts 2,500 years ago. The cattle were brought from the pastures to the stables for the winter. That last day, it was assumed that the spirits could leave the cemetery and take over the bodies of the living to rise again, asking food and cursing. They were victims of spells if they refused his requests: Trick or Treat, is that "if you do not give me anything, I make a prank."

To avoid this, the villagers houses and dirty "decorated" with bones, skulls so that the dead spend long scared. Hence the tradition of decorating the houses with sinister motives in the current eve of all saints.

Halloween "is derived from that in England this day is called" All Hallows 'Day ", and the night before" All Hallows' Eve "here comes the name.
The party was exported to the United States by European immigrants in the nineteenth century, around 1846 and first held in 1921. That year was the first Halloween parade in Minnesota. The internationalization of Halloween took place in the late 70's.

Halloween is a holiday based on fear, death, the undead, black magic and the mystical monsters. The "characters" that are typically associated with Halloween include ghosts, witches, black cats, characteristic colors are orange and black.

Noche de Brujas

Halloween (halloween but looking pagan) originated in the Celtic festival of Samhain and the Christian holiday of All Saints' Day. In large part, is a secular celebration but some feel that has a religious background. The church of Rome decided to convert to Catholicism festival. Was instituted on November 1 as All Saints Day.
This custom of trick or treating owes its origin to the persecution of Protestants against Catholics in England in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.

As a result of these persecutions, the Protestant King were victims of an attempted bombing but the plan was cut short when Guy Fawkes one of the conspirators, spoke and betrayed his comrades.
The fact led to a burlesque party, in which Lutherans protect their identity under masks grim, celebrated the date by visiting Catholic homes and demanding beer and cakes. Thus the "Guy Fawkes Day" came to America with the first settlers moved to October 31 and joined the Halloween party.

TRUCO O TRATO (Trick or Treat)

The evening October 31, Halloween comes into full swing. One of the customs is dressing up, the most terrifying and grotesque the better, and visit the houses of the neighborhood. The children go down the street with their pumpkins, knocking on doors and when the adult opens the door, say "trick or treat!. Tradition requires that the adult in the house succumb to this terrible blackmail, giving all children type of Halloween candy and candy making, therefore, deal. with them. Failure to act, the adult is exposed to the antics of the children feared disguised as skeletons, zombies, vampires, mummies and witches.

The story goes that an Irishman named Jack, had the misfortune to meet with the devil in a tavern on Halloween. The devil was transformed into a coin to pay the bartender, but Jack quickly took it and put it in her purse. As Jack had a cross in his purse, the Devil could not return to its original form. Jack would not go to hell until he promised not to ask for your soul in 10 years. The devil had no choice but to give Jack his claim.
Ten years later, Jack met the Devil in the field. The devil was prepared to take the soul of Jack, but Jack thought quickly and said: "I will go willingly, but before you do it, would bring me an apple tree that is on that please?". The devil thought he had nothing to lose, and jumped reached the top of the tree, but before the devil knew it, Jack had quickly carved a cross in the trunk of the tree. Then the devil could not get off. Jack forced the devil to promise never to ask him his soul back. The devil had no choice but to accept.

Jack died a few years later, but could not enter heaven. But he tried to enter hell and the devil had to send it back, he could not take his soul. "Where will I go now?" Asked Jack, and the devil replied, "Go back where you came from." The way back was dark and terrible wind would not let him see anything. The Devil tossed Jack a burning coal directly from hell, to be guided in the darkness, and Jack put it in a turnip he was eating, so it does not turn off the wind.

ROUTINES THAT ALLOW THEM TO LEARN

El saludo: Good morning, Hello, How are you?

·         Preguntar quién falta en inglés ( Who is missing today?)A veces , contar cuántos somos en clase

·         Ordenar el material utilizado (plastilina, pinturas, punzones…) con otra rima sencilla:It´s time to tidy up…I want the classroom tidy.Ready?

·         I´ll count till 10 and when I get 10 everybody is frozen.

·         Terminar la clase con otra rutina establecida:Children with brown shoes , line up
